Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was named UEFA's 2025/26 Champions League Player of the Year after his impressive performances and leading the French club to back-to-back titles.

The award was announced by UEFA on Sunday (31/5), a day after PSG retained the Champions League trophy after beating Arsenal on penalties in the final in Budapest.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw after extra time before Les Parisiens won 4-3 on penalties.

Kvaratskhelia was a key figure in PSG's title-winning campaign. The Georgian international scored 10 goals and provided six assists.

His contribution was also felt in the final. Besides being active in attack, Kvaratskhelia won a second-half penalty, which Ousmane Dembele converted to equalize for PSG.

These impressive performances led UEFA to not only name Kvaratskhelia as the Best Player of the Season but also include him in the 2025/26 Champions League Team of the Year.

PSG dominated the best XI with five players. Besides Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele, Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes, and Vitinha were also included. Vitinha was previously named Man of the Match in the final against Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have three representatives in their team of the season: goalkeeper David Raya, defender Gabriel, and midfielder Declan Rice.

UEFA also presented another award to a Real Madrid player. Young midfielder Arda Guler was named Revelation of the Season, the best newcomer of the season.

Real Madrid teammate Federico Valverde won the Goal of the Season award for his flick-and-volley hat-trick in the win over Manchester City in the last 16.

Here is the list of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League Team of the Year:
